
National Dialogue Committee meeting: Proposal to form a government dialogue committee in consultation with Asif Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (TNI) – The National Dialogue Committee meeting in Islamabad has proposed the formation of a government negotiation committee in consultation with President Asif Zardari, President PML-N Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The meeting of the National Dialogue Committee was held under the auspices of the National Dialogue Committee in Islamabad. Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Liaquat Baloch of Jamaat-e-Islami, Sher Afzal Marwat, Barrister Saif, Imran Ismail and Shahzad Waseem attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed the procedure for negotiations between the government and the opposition and proposals to reduce the temperature. The meeting statement said that an opposition committee should be formed to expand the dialogue committee in collaboration with political prisoners. The meeting proposed the formation of a government negotiation committee in consultation with the President, Nawaz Sharif and the Prime Minister.
The statement said that an opposition leader should be immediately appointed in the Senate and the National Assembly, that trust in the government would increase after the release of political activists, that media censorship should be ended, and that cases against political figures should be dropped.
It was agreed to continue the process of talks in the National Dialogue. The next meeting of the National Dialogue Committee will be held in Multan.
