Islamabad (TNI) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Barrister Ali Zafar has said that there is no atmosphere for talks between the government and the PTI at the moment. During an interview with a private news channel, Barrister Ali Zafar said that the PTI is in favor of talks but there is no sign of talks. He said that according to Article 17 of the Constitution, every political party has the right to engage in politics, but our party is not allowed to engage in any kind of political activity. Article 172 clearly states that no political party can go against the integrity of the country.
Senator Barrister Ali Zafar further said that there was a lot of discussion in Parliament on this article, then the Election Act was made, the Election Act should contain detailed evidence against a party that is against the integrity of the country. He said that just making allegations is not enough, formal evidence has to be presented in the Supreme Court or the Constitutional Court, the atmosphere does not seem to be conducive to negotiations at the moment.
He claimed that the government is not creating an environment, so negotiations are not taking place.
