Addressing a ceremony to distribute honorary cards to scholars in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said that it is an honor for me to serve the Imams. Imams should play their role in educating the society and the young generation. 70,000 accounts have been opened. They will receive a monthly honorarium of Rs. 25,000. This is a project of Rs. 20 billion annually. Honorarium will be provided through bank accounts from February. People tried to give it a political color, but it did not work.
The Chief Minister of Punjab said that I need you to suppress sedition, promoting sedition using the name of religion is treason, many people promoted sedition in the name of religion. They martyred the youth of the police and Rangers, burned people’s properties, blocked transportation routes, if this is not sedition, then what else do you call sedition? Sedition, oppression and excess, no matter what color it is, it is the responsibility of the state to bring it to justice, the state will take account of the blood of the martyrs, the state will not allow people to play with their lives, property and the security of the nation.
Maryam Nawaz said that when people face difficulties, they look to their religion. Corruption has been condemned in the Quran and Hadith. It is necessary to discourage religious hatred. Keep your ranks straight and stay away from sedition and corruption.
